Join Novel Pairings and Joseph Cellars for a restorative, slow-paced Pages & Pours event in the heart of wine country. Bring whatever book you’re currently reading (a novel, memoir, fantasy epic, romance, business manifesto, thriller, or whatever is on your nightstand) and settle in for an afternoon of shared quiet, great reading and even better wine.
This isn’t your typical book club.
There’s no assigned reading.
No forced discussion.
No pressure to perform.
Just a room full of readers, a glass of wine, and space to exhale.
Perfect for introverts, solo attendees, those who keep meaning to pick up a book but are distracted by life, and anyone craving a low-pressure night out that feels intentional, not loud.
Hosted by Erin of Novel Pairings, a WSET Diploma-certified wine educator who believes reading and wine are better when shared.
You’ll leave feeling rested, a little inspired, and reminded that reading doesn’t have to be solitary to be meaningful.
What is Pages & Pours?
Pages & Pours is exactly what it sounds like: a low-key event to read, sip, and unwind together, but at your own pace.
The day flows like this:
Arrive, grab a glass, and settle into one of Joseph Cellars lush lounge spaces.
Go through a short wine tasting to help you choose the perfect glass
A dedicated, quiet reading session in a beautiful wine cave
Time to mingle, swap books, or keep reading
You’ll feel like you gave yourself something rare: uninterrupted time with a story, a beautiful glass of wine, and a room full of people who love the same things you do.
Wine Pairings, Based on Your Book:
One of the most fun parts of the day?
We’ll offer pairing suggestions inspired by the book you bring.
Reading a moody mystery? A bold red might be calling your name.
Something light and romantic? Maybe a bright, expressive white.
Joseph Cellars will have wines available to taste before you decide on your glass, so you can choose what feels right for your story and your mood.
Each ticket includes:
One glass of wine (with a tasting beforehand to help you choose)
Additional wine available for purchase

Book Swap + Group Activity
Bring a gently loved book you’re ready to part with and swap it for a new-to-you read.
We’ll close the evening with an optional favorite-line share by simply reading a sentence that struck you. No explanation required.
