Booked & Bottled

Let your palate pick your plot in this
build a blind date with a book workshop

Saturday, November 21

Coursey Graves Estate Winery
6860 Serenity Way, Santa Rosa, CA
2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Some of the best days start with a little mystery.

This one also starts with a book and a glass of wine.

Novel Pairings is heading to Coursey Graves Winery for Booked & Bottled, an afternoon of wine and a little bit of bookish fun. You'll taste your way through a flight of Coursey Graves wines, follow your favorite wine to its genre, and build a blind date with a book of your own. Baubles, bookmarks, and a surprise entry to your TBR  included.

Come with your book club, your best friend or even by yourself and let a glass of wine help you find your next great read. At the end of the day, you're leaving with a great story and (if we've done our job right) a new favorite winery and a new friend.

It's an open house, so there’s no reserved seats, no set schedule—but there are just 50 tickets for the whole afternoon. Stop in anytime during our 3-hour window and stay as long as you like. This event is 21+.

How it Works

〰️

How it Works 〰️

Taste your way to a genre.

Belly up to the bar, where Coursey Graves will pour you a flight of some of their flagship wines whenever you arrive.

Each wine stands in for a genre. Love the Chardonnay? That's historical fiction. Drawn to the Sonoma Coast Pinot? Romantasy.

Let your palate pick your genre choice for the blind date with a book. (Or don't! If you already know which genre you want, go grab it! It's your afternoon.)

Build your best blind date.

Choose your pre-wrapped book and make it yours. Add a bookmark, a sticker, a little tea or cocoa for the read ahead.

Every book is brand new, hand-picked by Novel Pairings across genres. The title stays a surprise until you're ready to peek: unwrap it at the build table, or save the reveal for later. Don’t worry, we’ll give you some clues to what’s inside!

Every book comes with a wine pairing card, so you'll know exactly what to pour when you finally unwrap it. Want the official pairing? Coursey Graves will have bottles for sale.

You can build a date for yourself, and if you're feeling generous, you can build a few more, wrapped, ready, and one less thing on your holiday gift list.

Stay a while and enjoy the view.

Grab a glass, grab a plate, and settle in. We’ll have a book swap if you want to trade (bring a book from home, take one that catches your eye) and every table has reader-themed games and cards with the kind of questions that turn "who are you here with?" into an actual conversation.

Came solo? Sit down anywhere. You'll have something to talk about before you've finished your glass.

Hosted at
Coursey Graves Estate Winery

We couldn't ask for a better place to do this. Coursey Graves is a family-run, mountaintop estate above Bennett Valley that offers Bordeaux-style wines, French-inspired gardens, and views of Sonoma Valley that you can’t find just anywhere. Everything about the way they work, from the vineyard to the glass, is careful and deliberate, which felt like the right place for an afternoon built around books and wine pairings that are chosen just as carefully.

There's also a personal story here: their membership experience manager, Lexi, is one of our own Book Club and Wine Club members. We met at a Pages & Pours event earlier this year, and this collaboration grew out of that friendship. Say hi to Lexi when you see her!
